My Final Front Cover
My Final Contents Page
My Final Double Page Spread
What I need to improve on from the feedback on my Draft!
To make it clear what I need to improve on, I decided to make a mind map so that I can use it to help me when doing my second version of my magazine cover. I used a website called 'Bubbl.us' to create the mind map.
Creating an Album Cover
I created an album cover of the artist on my front cover. I did this by using photo shop as It allowed me to cut out and crop the image and also placed it on a background.
I decided to make an album cover as I thought it would add interest and make the magazine more appealing to the audience. I am going to place it on either my contents page or double page spread. This album is pop music which suits the overall genre theme of the magazine, so will therefore engage with a majority of the readers. The colours on the album make it look really eye catching which makes it stand out in the magazine. The album cover is important as it advertises the main artist in the magazine, it links to the main story. I also wanted to make use of another one of the images I took in the photoshoot with Annabel. From my research, I found out that many people who read music magazines, like to be informed about music news, so by advertising the date the album comes out is particularly helpful and informative to these customers. I made the album cover very simple but affective, as it clearly states the name of the artist and has a side shot of Annabel.

First Draft And Feedback
This is my first draft of my magazine cover. I created it by using Photoshop. My colour scheme is red, black and white, because I feel it looks professional this way and makes the red stand out on the mast head and on Annabel's lips. I included key conventions on the magazine, such as; mast head, main image, strapline, barcode, cover line and also issue number.
There is still conventions I need to include on the cover as its not perfect at the moment. However, I wanted to get some feedback of my magazine so far so that improvements can be made going by what the audience would like to see on the magazine. I carried this out by messaging some of my friends and family to get there opinions of magazine. I asked the following questions: 1. What do you like about the magazine about the magazine? 2. What else would you like to see on the magazine? 3. Are there any improvements I could make? Here are the responses: |
